NTN will run a booth at JIMTOF2012 26th Japan International Machine Tool Fair with the theme “NTN proposing next-generation technology and supporting monozukuri”.

In addition to exhibits of a wide range of products such as the ULTAGE Series* of bearings for machine tools, bearings for main shafts of next-generation machine tools, and positioning mechanism, displays will also include sensor technology delivering a high level of reliability by integrating with bearing technology and composite material products delivering new functions by using composite technology for dissimilar materials.

We look forward to seeing you at the event.

* “ULTAGE” (a name created from the combination of “ultimate,” signifying refinement, and “stage,” signifying NTN's intention that this series of products be employed in diverse applications) is the general name for NTN's new generation of bearings that are noted for their industry-leading performance.

Main Products Being Exhibited

Lubricating Oil Supply Unit with Self-power Generator

The industry's first oil supply unit with a lubricant supply mechanism that operates on power self-generated from heat within the bearing.

ULTAGE

Angular Contact Ball Bearing with Outer Ring Refueling Hole

It allows more compact main shaft by feeding lubrication oil directly within the bearing via lubrication hole on the outer ring.

Parallel link High speed Angle Control Equipment

A proprietary link mechanism and newly developed drive mechanism achieve high-speed and high-precision positioning over a wide range of moving angles.

Linear module

Aluminum extruded material has been designed to an optimum shape for a light weight and high rigidity. Optimum systems can be constructed to suit any application using the diverse lineup available.

IC Tag Integrated Bearing

The industry's first product that allows information to be recorded and read with an IC tag built into the bearing and a special reader/writer unit. The type of information saved can be configured for each user, allowing bearing quality information, as well as inspection records, to be checked.

Condition Monitoring System for Wind Power Generators (CMS)

A CMS comprised of the world's smallest class data collection device, measurement sensor, and data control, monitoring and analysis software. The first CMS in Japan to acquire GL certification (certification system developed for wind power generators).

Multi Layer BEARPHITE

Oil-impregnated sintered bearing that features the internal layers of the bearing made of a material with a high-strength and outstanding wear-resistance, and the outer layers made of a high-strength structural material, in what is the world's first double-molding method*.

* Double-molding method: a molding process that casts two dissimilar materials to form a single object.

Amorphous Core

A core developed by Nippon Kagaku Yakin* that offers a high degree of design flexibility and that can be used at high currents by using injection molding of magnetic material comprising of a mixture of amorphous powder and resin.

* Joined the NTN group in September 2011. Develops composite materials such as sintered alloys and engineering plastics, and possesses a high level of technology for metallic molds and molding processes.
