Product Overview
A module product that combines a hub bearing to support rotation of tires with an actuator to optimally control steering angle of a tire. It can finely adjust the steering angle of the right and left front wheels separately by using the data of the steering wheel operation and the speed of the vehicle. It is the world's first hub bearing to correct steering angle that can be installed onto front wheels.
It improves operability and stability when moving forward and cornering in addition to stabilizing the vehicle during emergencies like skid. As it refrains tires' skid, it also contributes to improved fuel efficiency.
NTN developed the product by utilizing the technology of hub bearing, of which NTN has world's No.1 share, to make modules smaller and lighter. Thus this product can be installed onto existing steering and suspensions without any major changes.
By applying to internal combustion vehicles, electric vehicles, and vehicles that respond to autonomous driving, it will contribute to the realization of the following characteristics of vehicles.

Reason for Receiving the Award
As realization of a society free of traffic accidents, and solutions to environmental problems have been required in recent years, vehicles that are highly safe and saving energy have been developed and efforts have also been made to realize them by the electrification and automated driving of the CASE.
The “s-HUB” contributes to safe and comfortable driving in not only internal combustion vehicles and electric vehicles, but also autonomous driving. It also contributes to the realization of a society with energy saving automobiles. These factors led to it winning this year's award.
