Acquisition of Naming Rights for Kuwana City HallFebruary 14, 2017Press Release

NTN Corporation (hereafter, NTN) hereby announces that NTN has acquired the naming rights for “Kuwana City Hall” located in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, with the aim of contributing to the development of cultural activities in the region. Accordingly, from April 1, 2017 the current name “Kuwana City Hall” will be changed to include the NTN company name to “NTN City Hall.”

NTN was established in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture in 1918, and has developed business in the region for approximately 100 years with the immense support and cooperation of the local community. In addition to Kuwana Works, NTN today runs many manufacturing, research and development, logistics and other bases of operation in the Kuwana region, and conducts business activities centered around the main product line of bearings.

Beyond the business activities, NTN has been focusing on contributing to and interacting with the local community across a broad range of fields such as culture, sports development and environmental conservation. NTN holds events like summer festivals at its business sites and sponsoring fireworks festivals, organizing community cleanup activities and forest conservation efforts. Additionally, members of the NTN Track & Field Club, which have entered the New Year Ekiden 53 times so far, hold athletics training for local children.

By acquiring this naming right, NTN will be better able to promote its name as a global company that supports the lives of people in various fields such as automobiles, rolling stock and aerospace through activities held at the facility, as well as help to further stimulate the region with the aim of becoming a company even further admired by the local community.
