Ground-breaking Ceremony at NTN Noto CorporationJune 7, 2011Press Releases

On June 3, NTN Corporation (hereafter, NTN) held a ground-breaking ceremony in Shika-machi, Hakui-gun, Ishikawa Prefecture to commemorate the start of construction of the new company NTN Noto Corporation (hereafter, NTN Noto).

The groundbreaking ceremony was held with a number of distinguished guests, including Governor Tanimoto of Ishikawa Prefecture and Mayor Koizumi of Shika-machi. During the ceremony, NTN called for the safe construction and smooth launch of the new company, while Governor Tanimoto said “there is a great deal of demand for industrial machinery. We will continue to develop land, sea and air transportation routes, and would like to see quality products manufactured right here in Ishikawa Prefecture being sent around the world.”

In his greeting, NTN Chairman Suzuki stated that “NTN Noto will manufacture bearings for industrial machinery for use in applications such as construction machinery, wind power generation, steel, and mining. The new plant will operate together with the three manufacturing bases already running in the Noto region to create a major bearing manufacturing center for industrial machinery. NTN plans to ship the bearings manufactured at the plant around the world via Port of Kanazawa as part of efforts to further expand the industrial machinery business.”
