NTN Enters 3rd-year Team Partner Agreement with Honda Racing F1 Team

NTN corporation (hereafter NTN) enters into its third-year Team Partner agreement with the Honda Racing F1 Team.

The new initiative for the 2007 Formula 1 season by The Honda Racing F1 Team contains a message, "a powerful call to action for fans, sponsors, customers and members of the public to join Honda's commitment to help address the environmental issues facing the world."

NTN's bearings and constant velocity joints are "eco-friendly products" in that they reduce losses during transmission of energy in the form of rotation and torque. We are aiming to eliminate environmentally hazardous substances in our products and manufacturing processes, while at the same time proactively striving to develop environmentally responsive products.
NTN regards coexistence with the environment as an issue of utmost importance and we are promoting the reduction of CO2 emissions and total recycling on a global level. We are actively utilizing natural energy at various sites, recognizing that introduction of wind and solar power generation system is one solution to promote environmental conservation.

The Honda Racing F1 Team is known for its strong and persistent challenge for the F1 Championship. As a major supplier of automobile-related components to Honda at home and abroad, and also as a partner of the Honda Racing F1 Team, NTN will share and support the Team's challenging spirit on the environmental issues. Through our continued participation to the Honda Racing F1 Team, NTN will promote its contribution to the global environmental challenges, and strive to provide the highest standard of products, technologies and services to the world. photo 2

To help raise awareness of the environmental issues facing the planet, the F1 machine will simply feature a huge image of earth in place of advertising and sponsor logos. NTN logos can only be seen on the uniforms of the driver and the mechanics of the team.
