NTN Joins “O-Nexus” Life Science-focused Innovation Hub to Accelerate Commercialization of “X-CELList”

NTN Corporation (hereafter, “NTN”) has joined Osaka Life Science Nexus by Nippon Life and CIC (“O-Nexus”), a newly established innovation hub located within Nakanoshima Qross, an international center for future medical care in Nakanoshima, Osaka.
Through this participation, NTN will expand applications of “X-CELList” which enables highly accurate placement of cells and reagents using its excellent liquid stamp technology in the life sciences field. This initiative will accelerate its commercialization and contribute to the advancement of next-generation medicine.
Nakanoshima Qross is a collaborative hub where medical institutions, companies, and universities work together to foster innovation and promote the industrialization of advanced healthcare. O-Nexus is a life sciences-focused innovation hub established as joint project between Nippon Life Insurance Company (Headquarters: Osaka; President: Satoshi Asahi) and CIC Japan (Headquarters: Toranomon, Tokyo; CEO: Denise Medlenka; hereafter, CIC). It supports new value creation in Osaka by fostering collaboration among startups, researchers, companies, and government agencies.
Through this participation, NTN will strengthen collaboration with partners within O-Nexus and Nakanoshima Qross, including startups, local governments, companies, and research institutions. NTN will accelerate the evaluation and application of “X-CELList” in the life sciences field, particularly in regenerative medicine, diagnostics, and drug discovery, including iPS cell-related research and manufacturing processes. By enabling shorter development times and supporting high-quality mass production, NTN aims to deliver value to customers and contribute to the advancement of next-generation medicine. NTN will also explore new applications and create collaboration opportunities through cross-industry partnerships and business matching within O-Nexus.
