NTN is running a display booth at China Wind Power 2011, with the theme “Wind Energy - Our Future”. The booth has on show a series of extra large bearings for wind power generators that are being designed specifically for offshore applications and for increasingly larger sizes.

Extra large bearings for use with main shaft

Insulated bearings for generator
[ Features ]
- Bearings offering high levels of insulation with a ceramic spray applied to the outer ring to prevent electrolytic corrosion.
Bearings for gearbox
[ Features ]
- A special surface film treatment applied to the inner/outer rings and rolling element to increase oil film generation capabilities. This helps to prevent surface damage (smearing).
